Membership Drive and BBQ – August 5
We had a great time up at El Alamo Winery this past Sunday. It was a beautiful day for a drive, some great wines and lunch with friends! We had 35 members attend this event!! Thank you all for driving almost 2 hours to get to this special event. We learned that this year El Alamo Winery, which is a one man enterprise, won 8 more awards (1 Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze metals) at this year’s State Competition in June! We wish them the best of luck in years to come!
Our next event is our Membership Drive and BBQ on August 5. We look forward to seeing you and any friends that might want to join us at Silver Crane Vineyard, 11 Mills Lane NE (off Monica) in Los Lunas 87031. (505-217-4251).
If you would like to become more involved, we are looking for people to help by being on either MRG or the State Board. Some of our officers have served for many years now and are tired. We need new blood to grow our organization with new ideas and events. Come be part of this fun group! Positions that are needed on both boards are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer/Membership. If you want your name to be put on the ballot for any of these positions, please let me know right away.
AGENDA:
- 1:00PM – Directors Meeting for the MRGVWS. All officers are required to attend at 1pm. Anyone who wants to run for an office, please let me know and please show at 1pm.
- 2:00PM – “Let’s Get The Party Started!” If you are not an officer or don’t want to run for office come at 2pm. It is hard to run a meeting, park cars and greet people. Thank you for your understanding.
- 3:00PM – Dinner will be served. Main courses will be Tri-Tip Steak and Cedar Plank Salmon hot off the BBQ.
Please bring a bottle of your favorite wine to share with the group. Also, if your last name starts with:
- A-H Bring an Appetizer to share.
- I – P Bring a Side Dish to share
- Q-Z Bring a Dessert to share
COST:
- Membership Dues (includes BBQ): $20.00 per person from August 1, 2023 to July 31, 2024. Current and new members can pay on-line. SEE EVENT
- Guests/Non-Members: $10.00 per person for this event. Please bring $10/person cash or a check made out to MRGVWS.
